Personal care is a broad term we use to refer to the need of assistance by people who are unable to complete certain tasks themselves for any reason.
Personal care is available for any daily tasks you may need support with, such as bathing and showering, all in the comfort of your own home.
Support is tailored to your specific requirements. A trained carer will work to your regular routine to ensure that the support provided is discreet and professional. Our carers undertake extensive training where they learn the importance of enabling your dignity and independence at all times. Personal care can cover (Not Limited):
Dressing, washing, bathing and grooming
Food preparation and assistance with cooking meals
Support with taking medication or prompting
Support using a commode or bed pan
Support with changing continence pads
Support moving position in bed, to stretch and prevent bed sores
Changing or maintaining a stoma or catheter bag
There may be some things you’d prefer to do for yourself. A good carer will always give you space when you want it and encourage your independence wherever possible
